May I handpick my favorite zChocolates?

Yes, absolutely. You do not have to use our preset assortments and can create your own personalized assortment with all your favorite zChocolates.

How long can I keep my chocolates and how should I store them?

We recommend that you consume your chocolates within the first three weeks after delivery to guarantee optimal taste. Your chocolates should be stored in a cool, dry place (for example, an air-conditioned room is perfect) where the temperature is between 18°-20°C (55°-70°F). Avoid storing the chocolates in the refrigerator as this can spoil their delicate flavor or alter the creamy texture of their fillings. However if you must, wrap your box in plastic kitchen wrap before placing it in the refrigerator. When you're ready to enjoy your chocolates, take out the box and wait 24 hours before removing the plastic wrap, to allow the chocolates to regain room temperature gradually.

Do your chocolates contain alcohol or animal fat?

None of our gourmet chocolates contain alcohol or animal fat (except the "Amore").

I have a nut allergy. Do your chocolates contain nuts?

The environment in which our chocolates are made may leave traces of nuts in all of our products. Therefore, we would not recommend any of our recipes for a recipient with nut allergies.

I have diabetes. Are you chocolates suitable for me?

Although our chocolates contain less sugar than traditional chocolates, we cannot recommend them for a sugar-free diet.

Are your chocolates kosher?

None of our chocolates contain any animal fat (except the "Amore" from our Assortment of Hearts); however our chocolates are not certified Kosher.

Which payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit cards including VISA, MasterCard, and American Express, as well as wire transfers, Paypal, Western Union, and personal checks (in US dollars or euros).

Which countries do you deliver to?

We deliver to 244 countries worldwide via DHL Express.

Will you let me know when my order is dispatched?

Upon shipping, you will receive a confirmation email with a DHL tracking number. We will also keep you informed by email of the progress of your package each step of the way, from the time we ship your order until final delivery.

Can you guarantee a delivery time?

Although we cannot guarantee a specific delivery time on the requested delivery day, we offer “before 9AM guaranteed delivery” for an additional 15.00 EUR, and “before noon guaranteed delivery” for an additional 5.00 EUR. Please consult our Shipping rates & policies for more details.

What happens if the recipient is not available at delivery time?

If your gift recipient is not present at the time of delivery, DHL will automatically re-deliver the next business day. If your recipient is still not present the next day, DHL will leave a note on the door with the package's tracking number and the local phone number of the nearest DHL agency. It will be up to your gift recipient to contact DHL and schedule an appointment for delivery.

Do you deliver on weekends?

Our shipping carrier DHL does not deliver on weekends.

Can I send a gift anonymously?

Yes, you can. Before payment, check the anonymous option and we will make sure your name does not appear on any of the documents accompanying your gift. If your gift recipient calls zChocolat, we will not reveal your identity unless you have instructed us otherwise.

What is the EU Value Added Tax?

The Value Added Tax, or VAT, in the European Union is a general, broadly based consumption tax assessed on the value added to goods and services. It applies to all goods and services that are delivered in an EU country. It is 20% on all goods and services except for our zBoxes and Assortments, which are taxed at 5.50%.

What information do you include with your product?

All zChocolat products are delivered with a booklet containing detailed descriptions of each chocolate, as well as educational material on how to taste and store our chocolates. We never include any invoices, or commercial or sales material in our packages.

What ingredients do you use?

In our recipes we use: cocoa paste, sugar, cocoa butter, hazelnut, cream, nuts, whole milk powder, skimmed milk powder, unsweetened semi-skimmed milk, natural vanilla flavoring, butter, Bourbon-Vanilla bean, water, glucose syrup, almond, peanut, pistachio, coconut purée, grated coconut, salt, coffee from Kenya, coffee Maragogype, raspberry purée, sesame, instant coffee, marzipan, chlorophyll, splits of thin pancakes, mango, natural flavoring of lavender, barley malt, violet flavoring, yellow lemon zest, yellow lemon juice, passion fruit purée, coriander, orange juice, orange zest, wheat flour, margarine, soya lecithin, sorbitol, dextrose, and pectin.

Are your chocolates gluten-free?

Only three chocolates contain gluten: number 8 in our Traditional Assortment, number 19 in our Exotic Assortment, and Suprême in our Assortment of Hearts. If you are sending chocolates to someone with an intolerance to gluten, please make sure that you select a personalized assortment and leave out these 3 recipes.

Are your chocolates suitable for vegetarians?

Our chocolates are made with 100% pure, natural ingredients, no preservatives, no alcohol, no animal fat, and no fat other than butter and cocoa butter. We therefore consider our chocolates suitable for vegetarians with one exception: the "Amore" chocolate in our Assortment of Hearts.

Are your chocolates suitable for vegans/lactose intolerant?

All our chocolates contain milk except 4 that only contain traces of milk: number 10, number 15, number 21, and our truffle. You select exclusively number 10, number 15, and number 21 by choosing a personalized assortment, or select a box from our Truffles Collection.

Are your chocolates halal?

Our chocolates are made with 100% pure, natural ingredients, no preservatives, no alcohol, and no animal fat (except the "Amore"); however our chocolates are not certified Halal.

In which currency will you charge me?

You will be charged in euros (EUR). Your credit card company determines the rate of exchange on the day your order was placed. The charge of your credit card statement may differ slightly from the charge shown on our website due to daily fluctuations in exchange rates or credit card company policies.

What is the shipping cost?

The shipping cost is a flat fee of 15.00 EUR per delivery address no matter where you ship and how many products you ship – all the time. View our Worldwide delivery section for details.

Where is my order and when will it be delivered?

Please check the DHL tracking information sent to you upon shipment. We will also keep you informed by email of the progress of your package each step of the way from the time we ship your order until final delivery.

Can you provide a proof of delivery?

A delivery receipt notification is emailed to you within 3 hours of delivery with the name of the consignee as well as the local time of delivery.

Do you guarantee that my chocolates will be delivered in excellent condition?

Always. If necessary, our packages are shipped with our international summer packaging, which guarantees that your chocolates arrive in perfect condition anywhere in the world. This packaging uses insulated containers and refrigerant packs to maintain an interior temperature between 15°C and 20°C (59°F and 67°F) until delivery, regardless of the outside weather and temperature. There is no action required on your part and this service is complimentary. If for any reason your chocolates are not delivered in perfect condition, we will replace your order immediately.

Do you deliver to hotels, hospitals, companies, etc.?

Absolutely. The reception desk will sign for the package and notify your recipient.

How can I ship to multiple gift recipients ?

Please download this excel spreadsheet, enter your multiple recipients information and email it to zcontact@zchocolat.com. A customer service representative will upload your order into your shopping cart and notify you when you may proceed with checkout.

Do you have a shop?

No, we currently do not have any shops. You will find us exclusively online.

Do you offer coupons?

No, we do not offer any coupons.
