OUR CHOCOLATES

May I handpick my favorite zChocolates?

Yes, absolutely. You do not have to use our preset assortments and can create your own personalized assortment with all your favorite zChocolates.

What ingredients do you use?

In our recipes we use: Cocoa paste, cocoa butter, whole milk powder, skimmed milk powder, sugar free semi-skimmed milk, powdered whey, cream, UHT cream, anhydrous milk fat, butter, concentrated butter, anhydrous butter, margarine, eggs, soya lecithin without GMO, water, salt, wheat flour, barley malt, sugar, glucose syrup, wheat glucose syrup, invert sugar, icing sugar, sorbitol, dextrose.


Sesame, almond, peanut, hazelnut, walnut, pistachio, Tonka bean, hazelnut oil, pistachio paste (almond, pistachio, sugar, hazelnut oil, natural flavouring), almond paste, hazelnut paste (100% hazelnut).

Do your chocolates contain
alcohol or animal fat?

None of our gourmet chocolates contain alcohol or animal fat.

Are your chocolates kosher?

Our chocolates are made with 100% pure, natural ingredients, however they are not certified Kosher.

Are your chocolates halal?

Our chocolates are made with 100% pure, natural ingredients, however they are not certified Halal.

How long can I keep my chocolates 
and how should I store them?

We recommend that you consume your chocolates within the first three weeks after delivery to guarantee optimal taste. Your chocolates should be stored in a cool, dry place (for example, an air-conditioned room is perfect) where the temperature is between 18°-20°C (55°-70°F). Avoid storing the chocolates in the refrigerator as this can spoil their delicate flavor or alter the creamy texture of their fillings. However if you must, wrap your box in cling film before placing it in the refrigerator. When you're ready to enjoy your chocolates, take out the box and wait 24 hours before removing the plastic wrap, to allow the chocolates to regain room temperature gradually. The best before date of your chocolates is printed below the assortment.

Are your chocolates
gluten-free?

Only five recipes contain gluten: number 8, number 19, the Suprême and the ZBars Dark and Milk. If you are sending chocolates to someone with an intolerance to gluten, please make sure that you select a personalized assortment.

I have diabetes. Are your
chocolates 
suitable for me?

Although our chocolates contain less sugar than traditional chocolates, we cannot recommend them for a sugar-free diet, except our Alizé 0 % Sugar.

I have a nut allergy. Do your chocolates
contain nuts?

The environment in which our chocolates are made may leave traces of nuts in all of our products. Therefore, we would not recommend any of our recipes for a recipient with nut allergies.

Are your chocolates suitable for
vegans/lactose intolerant?

All our chocolates and delicacies contain milk except: number 10, number 15, orangettes, dark pépitestruffles and pâtes de fruits. You can select exclusively number 10, number 15 by choosing a personalized assortment or you can select any product in our all-natural vegan selection.

Are your chocolates suitable for vegetarians?

Our chocolates are made with 100% pure, natural ingredients, no preservatives, no alcohol, no animal fat, and no fat other than butter and cocoa butter. We therefore consider our chocolates suitable for vegetarians.

OUR MACARONS

What ingredients do you use?

All of our macarons are made with 100%  natural ingredients.  Find a full list of ingredients here:

Butter, sugar, almonds, egg white, cream skimmed milk powder, glucose syrup, saccharose, sucrose, emulsifier (soya lecithin), maltodextrin, stabilizer (sorbitol), grapeseed oil, potato starch, salt flower, whey powder (whey), cocoa butter, cocoa powder, cocoa mass, coffee, sesame, pecan nuts, tonka bean, pistachio, fruit pectin, raspberry, morello cherry, lemon, passion fruit, mango, blackcurrant, colour (concentrated beetroot juice, concentrated acerola juice), colour (lemon juice), invertase, trehalose, color (spirulina concentrate), colour (caramelized sugar), concentrated black carrot juice, colour (salt flower extract). May contain traces of other nuts.

How long can I keep my macarons
and how should I store them?

Given their delicate nature, macarons are best consumed within a week after receipt. We recommend that you store them in the bottom of your fridge at all times. Ensure that they are kept in an airtight container to prevent moisture from compromising their quality. When you're ready to consume them, take them out of the refrigerator at least 20 minutes prior to allow the flavors to blossom at room temperature.

What ingredients do you use?

All of our jams are made with 100% natural ingredients.

Raspberry (60%), Blueberry (60%), Apricot (55%), sugar (45%),  pectin. 

How should I store my jam?

Once opened, our jams should be kept in the fridge and consumed within the expiry date shown on the jar.

Which payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit cards including VISA, MasterCard, and American Express, as well as wire transfers and Paypal.

May I send a gift anonymously?

Yes, you may. Before payment, check the anonymous option and we will make sure your name does not appear on any of the documents accompanying your gift. If your gift recipient calls zChocolat, we will not reveal your identity unless you have instructed us otherwise.

What information do you include
with your products?

All zChocolat products are delivered with a booklet containing detailed descriptions of each chocolate, as well as educational material on how to taste and store our chocolates. We never include any invoices, or commercial or sales material in our packages.

How can I change a product
or a date in my order?

Once you have placed your order it will be saved and you will not be able to change it. However, we can make some changes as long as the order has not yet been shipped. Please contact our Customer Service team who will be able to make any changes for you if possible.

How can I ship to multiple gift recipients ?

Please download this excel spreadsheet, enter your multiple recipients information and email it to zcontact@zchocolat.com. A customer service representative will upload your order into your shopping cart and notify you when you may proceed with checkout.

In which currency will you charge me?

You will be charged in euros (EUR). Your credit card company determines the rate of exchange on the day your order was placed. The charge of your credit card statement may differ slightly from the charge shown on our website due to daily fluctuations in exchange rates or credit card company policies.

How to redeem my complimentary chocolate assortments saved in my account?

You can redeem your complimentary assortments online by ordering single assortments free of charge from our Assortment Collection for yourself or someone else. The price of each single assortment is automatically deducted from your order total in your shopping cart. Please note that you have one year to redeem them from the date you earned them. You can also review our step-by-step instructions.

Which countries do you deliver to?

We deliver to 253 destinations worldwide via DHL Express.

Where is my order
and when will it be delivered?

Please check the DHL tracking information sent to you upon shipment. We will also keep you informed by email of the progress of your package each step of the way from the time we ship your order until final delivery.

Will you let me know
when my order is dispatched?

Upon shipping, you will receive a confirmation email with a DHL tracking number. We will also keep you informed by email of the progress of your package each step of the way, from the time we ship your order until final delivery.

Can you guarantee
a delivery time?

Although we cannot guarantee a specific delivery time on the requested delivery day, we offer "before 9AM guaranteed delivery" for a USD 41.37 flat fee for up to 5 items per delivery address and USD 13.61 per item beyond 5 products. We also offer "before noon guaranteed delivery" for a USD 30.49 flat fee for up to 5 items per delivery address and USD 10.89 per item beyond 5 products. These delivery options are only available for a select number of ZIP codes. Please review our Shipping rates & policies for more details.

What happens if the recipient
is not available at delivery time?

If your gift recipient is not present at the time of delivery, DHL will automatically re-deliver the next business day. If your recipient is still not present the next day, DHL will leave a note on the door with the package's tracking number and the local phone number of the nearest DHL agency. It will be up to your gift recipient to contact DHL and schedule an appointment for delivery.

What is the shipping cost?

Our shipping cost is a flat fee of USD 19.60 for up to 5 items per delivery address anywhere in the world. Beyond 5 items per delivery address, the shipping cost is USD 7.62 per item. This cost includes the order preparation, summer packaging (if applicable), DHL shipping fees and local custom duty fees, except for the countries where local custom offices do not allow delivery duties paid or with complicated custom clearance processes. Do you deliver on weekends?

Our shipping carrier DHL does not deliver on weekends.

Do you deliver to hotels,
hospitals, companies, etc.?

Absolutely. The reception desk will sign for the package and notify your recipient.

Can you provide
a proof of delivery?

A delivery receipt notification is emailed to you within 3 hours of delivery with the name of the consignee as well as the local time of delivery.

Do you guarantee that my chocolates will be delivered in excellent condition?

Always. When necessary, our packages are shipped with our international summer packaging, which guarantees that your chocolates arrive in perfect condition anywhere in the world. This packaging uses insulated containers and refrigerant packs to maintain an interior temperature between 15°C and 20°C (59°F and 67°F) until delivery, regardless of the outside weather and temperature. There is no action required on your part and this service is complimentary. If for any reason your chocolates are not delivered in perfect condition, we will replace your order immediately.

What is the
EU Value Added Tax?

The Value Added Tax, or VAT, in the European Union is a general, broadly based consumption tax assessed on the value added to goods and services. It applies to all goods and services that are delivered in an EU country. It is 20% on shipping, customization options and wooden chocolate boxes. All other chocolate items are taxed at 5.5%.

Do you have a shop?

We currently have one physical store: our factory store at our logistics center in Forcalquier, France. Other than this location, the only way to purchase our chocolates is through our website.
