Customs duties in the Philippines

Local duties and tarifs may be applicable upon delivery in the Philippines. Such fees are not applied systematically and cannot be assessed in advance because they vary widely from 0% to 70% of the total declared value (invoice amount less shipping charge). If you send our chocolates as gifts, we make absolutely certain that your gift recipient does not pay any taxes upon delivery. We ship Delivery Duties Paid to the Philippines. If a duty fee is applied, we pay it on your behalf when making entry in the Philippines and bill you separately upon receipt of the local customs invoice several weeks after delivery. Based on our experience, there is a 50% chance that your chocolates will be taxed.

Other Worldwide Destinations

Not only do we deliver year-round in the Philippines, but also to a growing number of destinations in 244 countries around the world, including Pitcairn and Peru.

The Republic of the Philippines, a privileged meeting point of East and West, is a holiday destination combining plenitude, wild nature and idyllic climate. Paradise islands, tropical waters and fine sandy beaches, everything is in place for a most pleasant and exotic stay.

The Philippines is an archipelago of 7,107 islands with an area of over 300,000 km2. Located west of the Pacific Ocean about 1,000 kilometres southeast of the Asian continent, the Philippines is also bathed by the China Sea. Despite the multitude of these islands, three main areas can be clearly distinguished, namely : Luçon (island housing Manila, the capital, as well as Quezon City, the largest city of the country), Visayas (including the islands of Samar, Negros, Palawan, Panay, Mindoro, Leyte, Cebu, Bohol, Masbate) and Mindanao (second island of the archipelago in terms of area).

With its 7,107 paradisiac islands bordered by turquoise waters, the Philippines have preserved their natural heritage. Obviously you will have to make a choice among all these islands but wherever you go you will find a pure nature. In Palawan there are beautiful underground rivers and a lush primitive forest; in Boracay you can relax on pristine white sandy beaches; on the island of Mindanao hike Mount Apo and discover its unique orchid collection. Lovers of fauna and flora will no longer know where to head on the longest coastline in the world. Discover in turn the coasts lined with coral reefs, the exuberant vegetation, the majestic marine fauna...

The best season to schedule a flight to the Philippines runs from December to February. During this period the climate is more temperate and dry, thus avoiding the dangers associated with the typhoon season. However, to enjoy activities such as diving or swimming, take advantage of the warm season from March to May. Avoid as much as possible the rainy season from June to November.

While the Republic of the Philippines is an archipelago of 7,107 islands, only 2,000 are inhabited. So it is not surprising to find ourselves on an island where no trace of civilization is present. A beautiful page of fine sand but no hotel to stop or coffee to quench your thirst. No chance in these islands to buy a towel or sunscreen! Islands where the visitor can enjoy a moment of pure relaxation, far from any civilization.

A nature that has not been denatured either on land or under water, making the Filipino funds among the richest in the world. You will have understood, the Philippines are above all a place for nature lovers and idleness.

A warm climate, natural vegetation, not damaged by human hands and sublime beaches await you throughout the year. The Philippines is made up of a multitude of islands sometimes very small where live together colorful, varied and independent cultures. A unique diversity that does not, however, prevent a certain cohesion. Indeed, wherever we are on Filipino territory, the inhabitants are all animated by an extraordinary spirit of solidarity and hospitality, you will notice it during your journey by rental car in the Philippines.
Everywhere are also beautiful beaches and forests that will not fail to move.

Art and culture in the Philippines
Discover the Metro Manila region brimming with life and museums. Take a tour in the Manila House with Spanish colonial architecture which is in fact a reproduction of a mid 19th century building that was built along the Calle de Jaboneros in San Nicolas, Binondo. The house houses antique furniture, paintings, lamps, chandeliers, Persian blankets, antiquity. Also go to the National Museum which presents all the Filipino cultural and historical heritage. Created on October 4, 1901 under its old name, the Island Museum of Ethnology, National History and Commerce. The museum has five divisions: art, botany, zoology, geology and anthropology.

What to visit in the Philippines
Despite all the riches offered by the Philippines, it is not possible to miss the famous rice terraces of the Banaue region (north of the island of Luzon). Considered the eighth wonder of the world, these 2,000-year-old rice fields are a striking example of centuries-old mountainside cultivation techniques. Leaving your hotel in the Philippines and going down to the Visayas archipelago, you will find a multitude of fascinating islands with a marked character. Cébu, nicknamed the queen of the south, is rich in a very exotic Spanish colonial style architecture.
