FIRE AT ZCHOCOLAT
With heavy hearts, we are sharing the news that zChocolat cannot deliver and delight you with orders before October 2021 due to a fire incident in our facilities.
Monday, May 17th, 2021, our headquarters and order preparation facility accidentally burnt down to the ground. Luckily, everyone evacuated on time. Your zChocolat team is safe and strongly motivated, more than ever, to get back to serving you. Our off-site production facility remains fully intact. We should be fully operational no later than October 18th, 2021. We will dedicate this five-month break to building a safer, faster, greener, and smarter logistics facility to serve you even better than before. In the meantime, you may order online for delivery in October. We will continue to double the amount of chocolate you order at no additional cost.
zChocolat is a company grounded in deep philosophy and daring positivity.
Being in business for 22 years taught us to be efficient, exceptional, and equipped for almost anything. Yet, despite having all imaginable and possible preventive measures in place, our facilities were not spared from being razed to the ground.
“Qui vivra verra.” It brings to mind this French proverb with the perennial truth that the future is unpredictable, uncertain, and uncontrollable. Now is the time to live with no regrets for you don’t know what tomorrow will bring. However, one thing that we can control is how we respond to what happened. We cannot know nor dictate the future, but we can help shape it for the better. “The future belongs to those who prepare for it today.”
While others may see what happened as a tragedy, we see it as the perfect opportunity to rise from the ashes and rebuild a more sustainable and efficient business to serve our customers who deserve the very best from us.
