The capital of the Samoa Islands, Apia, is located on the north coast of Upolu Island (the largest island in the archipelago), at the mouth of the Vaisigano River and in the heart of the natural harbour. It has many monuments, such as the Clock Tower, erected in memory of the war, and became one of the symbols of the city, the cathedral, the Parliament building, the Maota Fono building, the Old Observatory, or the Court of Justice with its colonial style that can be found in many buildings of the city. We will also not fail to visit the tomb of the writer Robert Louis Stevenson on Mount Vaea, at an altitude of 472 metres, as well as his house in Vailima, now open to visitors since it has been transformed into a museum in his honour. Other places, such as the ancient ceremonial capital of Mulinu'u, to the west of the city, the new mad Maketi Market, the National University of Samoa and the campus of the University of the South Pacific, are worth a visit. Nature lovers will be delighted to visit the Pololo Deep Marine Nature Reserve and its blue lagoon, much appreciated by divers for the many tropical fish species it shelters. Lazy lovers will only have to relax on the beach of Aganoa Black Sand Beach on which they could also devote themselves to diving in deep waters. If you wish to attend a natural spectacle, you will not hesitate to admire the magnificent waterfalls of Papapapai-Tia, visible from Cross Island Road. Not far from Upolu, we find the island of Savai'i, quickly reachable by ferry. The island is full of beautiful beaches for relaxation, but also impressive lava formations inside. The turtle site attracts many tourists, eager to swim by their side.

ANZAC Day, April 25, commemorates the participation of troops from Oceania who fought in the First World War.
The inhabitants celebrate the independence of their country on June 1st.
The second Monday in October is the Children's Day, during which Samoan children wear white clothes.
Samoa Islanders celebrate Tree Day on November 7.
