If there's one name that sounds like a Florida promise, it's Tampa. Together with its neighbours, St Petersburg and Clearwater, this city in the bay of the same name forms a vibrant and thriving metropolis of almost three million inhabitants. Tampa is after Miami and Jacksonville, the third largest city in Florida. Bathed by the ocean, it is known as much as an economic and cultural city as a holiday town because of its geographical situation and the clemency of its climate. It is home to two universities. The result is a peaceful atmosphere between his winter residences for rich Americans and his faculties for sunny boys and girls. A city that is certainly taken seriously but just what is needed. Because, herself likes to cultivate this carefree image of artist. She saw the birth of a large number of Death Metal bands. Once a year, it turns into a giant fair for the Gasparilla, the pirate festival. And to illustrate its somewhat whimsical character, the most beautiful example is the Salvador Dali Museum located on the side of Saint Petersburg, one of the most popular art museums in Florida, and which holds the most complete collection of works by the Spanish surrealist artist in the world. Moreover, the Cuban influence is undeniable in Tampa and resonates particularly in the music. It transcends the whole city in an unspeakable cheerfulness and lightness of living. The beautiful white sandy beaches of the Sunset Coast are not the last to participate in this idleness atmosphere relayed by the many amusement parks, interactive museums and sights hidden in the city. Tampa has one of the most beautiful marine museums in Florida, a water park with seventeen slides! A single flight to Tampa will not be enough to discover the multitude of attractions the city has to offer: the Florida Aquarium, the Bush Gardens, amusement park and animal park, the Lowry Park Zoo, the Mosi (Museum of science and industry), the Henry B. Plant Museum, Ybor City and Channelside, Tampa Bay History Center, Museum of Science and Industry, The Pier sort of pyramid upside down. Every two years takes place the week of Dine Tampa Bay Restaurant which allows to explore the finest tables. Outside this period we will pass to the Creole Café, whose beautiful arches welcomed the Cuban revolutionary José Martí, Teddy Roosevelt and Winston Churchill. On Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings, we will stroll along seventh avenue, famous for its bars and restaurants, and convert one evening into a lively pedestrian street.
