A true metropolis of more than one million inhabitants, including some 80,000 students, the city of Rochester in the United States has made a worldwide reputation in the world of education for the deaf and hard of hearing. And we thank the director of a famous brand of photographic equipment (Kodak©) who left him a legacy destined to make the place a cultural and artistic city where festivals now follow one another in summer and winter. Rochester is located in the state of New York (attention, the city of New York is not next for all that...), in the North east of the United States. A few kilometres further north is Lake Ontario, bordering Canada. And the numerous rivers surrounding and crossing Rochester made it the favourite place for millers who came to build their mills to grind flour! Depending on the seasons, you'll go from skiing in the mountains to bikinis on the shores of Lake Ontario. With a holiday in Rochester, everyone, young and old, will find their happiness among the rich range of activities on offer. Pay tribute to the founder of Kodak© and benefactor of the city by visiting his home, the George Eastman House, where the photographic and cinematographic arts are in the spotlight. Also discover the home of 19th century activist Susan B. Anthony, who will teach you a lot about the country's history. Outside the city, if you can, admire Niagara Falls. It is of course in the center, around the river and Main Street W, S Main Street and N Main Street that you will find a multitude of restaurants (American cuisine or world cuisine), bars and cafes concerts.
