Mecca is a city in western Saudi Arabia, not far from the hinge separating the Hijaz from the Asir. If you go to Mecca, you will necessarily go through the Great Muddy. Worshiped by millions of Muslims around the world, the site leaves its doors open without interruption. The central building, the Ka'ba, protects the Black Stone. This famous stone is very difficult to approach, because all visitors wish to kiss it. Masjid Taneem is a second mosque located a few kilometers away, which includes areas dedicated to baths, ablutions, and cloakrooms for pilgrims. One of the uses of the pilgrimage is to cross seven times the space between the two small hills Safa and Marwah near the Ka'ba, within the imposing Masjid al-Haram Mosque. The corridor traversed by the pilgrims is 450 meters long today. The walk in question is a way to remember Hajar's journey to fetch water for his son. A few kilometers from the center of Mecca, the mountain of light (Jabal al-Nur) where Mohammed had his first revelation with God, is also a respected and visited place.
