Made up of several hundred islands and islets, largely uninhabited, the Palau archipelago impresses by its beauty. These hundreds of islands surrounded by crystal clear water, formed by countless white and fine sandy beaches transport you in a postcard setting. You are in Palau, in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, thousands of kilometres from France.

The volcanic island of Babelthuap is the largest of the archipelago. It is home to the capital, Melekeok, and the highest point in the state, Mount Ngerchelchuus, 242 metres high. It is also home to 88% of Palau's forests. To the south is the island of Koror, almost entirely covered by the city of Koror which was the capital of the country until 2006. On these two islands, it is possible to visit museums and cultural centres and enjoy the shops. To understand the history of Palau, it is also possible to visit the island of Peleliu, home to many sites dealing with the Second World War.

But above all Palau offers a unique setting where nature marvels. Classified as a unesco World Heritage Site and protected for their biodiversity, the uninhabited islands of Chelbacheb are dotted with lakes. The surprising jellyfish lake, in particular, attracts tourists. They can also take advantage of the many diving sites, snorkel, go for sea trips, swim with dolphins or simply enjoy the many beaches that the archipelago has to offer.
