Kenya is known by safari lovers for the beauty of its nature, its fauna and flora, its forests, its mountains, its high plateaus, its deserts...

But Kenya is also white sand beaches and rafting adventure! To satisfy a desire for a unique human experience and a privileged contact with nature, to stroll in luxury hotels or to travel in Kenya in all simplicity throughout the country, take a flight to Kenya this country will have answer all your desires!

Kenya borders five other countries and faces the Indian Ocean. Its capital is Nairobi. Its neighbours are Somalia and Ethiopia in the East and North East, Sudan and Uganda in the North and West, and the Republic of Tanzania in the South West. A little bigger than France, it is also known for Lake Victoria. This incredible country united to him only flat landscapes, mountains with the top bleached by the snow, deserts, rift, volcanoes, or coral barrier ! Mounting on the equator, the climate is changing depending on where you are. Hot, cold, wet, dry, to each his season according to his place!

The ostrich mountain, or Kiinyaa, is the origin of the name of this beautiful country. Why the ostrich? For the black and white fur of the evil reminds us of the colours of this high summit whose black rocks contrast with the snow... A mixture of culture has shaped the country since the dawn of humanity, through British colonization, until today. Many fossils have demonstrated, here as in the surrounding countries, a very ancient human presence, of which the skeletons of Australopithecus testify.

The cradle of exchanges between neighbouring countries, of maritime contacts with the spice route in particular, the country benefits from a great variety but also from a great cultural complexity. At the end of the 15th century the first Europeans arrived with the Portuguese Vasco de Gama. A century later, the Portuguese controlled the coast... They were driven out by the Sultanate of Oman in the 18th century. In the 1880s, the country was placed under British domination and regained its independence only in 1963 as part of the Commonwealth.

From November to April the rains sweep a good part of the Kenyan regions. Lazy coconut lovers may prefer to wait for more favourable conditions before lying on the fine sandy beaches! So many possibilities are available to you during your stay in a hotel in Kenya it's better to prepare it a little early and ask yourself the right questions.

Will you choose idleness and quiet walks? Contact with the Maasai tribes? Skydiving and safari in extreme conditions? (January and February are migration periods, safari trails are busy) Would you like to stay in one city or travel all over the country? If so, what means of transportation will you use? Jeep tours, rental car in Kenya or airplane? The more answers you have to these questions, the more you will be able to organize yourself and make the most of your stay. The safaris are the heritage of the settlers who left to discover the heart of Kenyan territory. Imagine these men seeing for the first time a lion or elephant in their natural environment, ready to attack or charge to protect their meal or their offspring! Take a hot air balloon, walk or ride a camel to get to know this wild environment. Thrills guaranteed! The Republic of Kenya is indeed the ideal place and is known and recognized worldwide for its excursions which will not fail to amaze you! Fantastic landscapes, tourist infrastructures, and competent professionals welcome you throughout the year. The variety of activities offered, from mountaineering to scuba diving, will not fail to leave you with an unforgettable memory.

Art and culture in Kenya
The cradle of humanity, the history of the country goes back to the first hominids. From the 2nd millennium BC, peoples from the North, West and North West arrived. From the 8th century it was the Arabs and Persians who colonized the region before the Portuguese and the English. Coastal trade encouraged the mixing of cultures. Music is certainly the oldest and most alive art in Kenya. To the sound of percussion, each tribute celebrates its village festivals. Painting is also present and there are many art galleries in the capital.

What to visit in Kenya
From Nairobi, safari departures are organised to the nature reserves (more than fifty), notably the Massaï Mara reserve. You will also find the national museum. The African Rift Valley, its escarpments and views are a possible stop before the Masai Mara via Narok.
