Kelowna is located in the southern province of British Columbia in the Okanagan Valley, near Okanagan Lake. Located on a plateau, the city stretches over the Okanagan Valley for approximately 212 km².the city of Kelowna has many sights to see. Tourists will mainly visit Abbott Street and Marshall Street, the Benvoulin Heritage Church, and the Laurel Building. Kelowna offers a wide range of museums to visit: The Okanagan Heritage Museum, the Okanagan Military Museum, the Central Okanagan Sports Hall of Fame (dedicated to the city's sporting events), and the BC Orchard Industry Museum. Kelowna is a fairly green city, with several parks such as City Park, Guisachan Heritage Park, Knowles Heritage Park, Waterfront Park and Kasaguai Gardens, open to the public during the day. Stroll around Abbott Street, Marshall Street or be charmed by the Kelowna City Theater, Prospera Place, Rotary Center for The Art and Father Pandosy's Mission, shops are mainly open from 10am to 7pm (with one night until 9pm in some shopping centres from Monday to Friday and until 5pm on Saturday and Sunday.
