January 17th 2014: Fleur Pellerin, appointed Minister Delegate of Small and Medium Enterprises, Innovation and Digital Economy in 2012, is the first Asian cabinet member in the French government. Alumni from the highest ranked schools in France, her main pre-occupation today is the development of small and medium-sized French companies and their internet or digital activity. On Friday, January 17th, we met with Mrs. Fleur Pellerin to discuss our involvement with breakthrough technologies and the application of internet within our business model. Selected amongst 30 local companies, we had the opportunity to present our products to the French Minister Delegate and Mr. Christophe Castaner, Deputy Mayor of Forcalquier.
Mrs. Fleur Pellerin arrives accompanied by Mr. Christophe Castaner, Deputy Mayor of Forcalquier, to the event venue: "Le Couvent des Cordeliers", a Middle-Age era monastery formerly inhabited by monks.
Mrs. Fleur Pellerin is introduced to Jean-Philippe Khodara, President and Founder of zChocolat, by Deputy Mayor, Mr. Christophe Castaner.
Mrs. Fleur Pellerin listens attentively as Jean-Philippe Khodara, accompanied by Public Relations Manager, Adria Higdon, explains the beginning of zChocolat with a strategic business model based exclusively on internet sales.
We presented 3 popular recipes from our Numbered Collection: number 0; a slow-roasted Piedmont hazelnut 40% milk praliné studded with California almonds, number 5; a rich 70% Venezuelan dark couverture with 62% ganache filling and our ever-famous dark Z chocolate; a duo of lush caramel and crunchy praliné inside a 70% dark chocolate couverture.
Fan of milk chocolate and praliné, Mrs. Fleur Pellerin's first choice was chocolate number 0. She absolutely loved it!
For this occasion, Adria Higdon, zChocolat's Public Relations Manager, presented an arrangement of seasonal boxes, such as the Sapphire 2014 from our New Year's Collection, a My Heart from our Valentine's Day Collection and a Chinese New Year box. The Minister Delegate was impressed to see the reactivity of zChocolat with worldwide holidays.
