When Valerie and I founded zChocolat in November 1999 from our home near Aix-en-Provence (South of France), we realized that the Internet provided us the perfect venue to share our passion for supreme-quality chocolates with the rest of the world. The French are experts in all things gourmet and French chocolate is no exception. We therefore started by searching out a master, artisan chocolatier willing to create an exclusive line of gourmet chocolates with zealous adherence to French tradition; no preservatives, no artificial coloring, 100% pure cocoa butter, modest sugar, high cocoa content and no alcohol. We were thrilled to find and collaborate with Pascal Caffet, World Champion Chocolatier & Meilleur Ouvrier de France.
We understood that creating access to the best chocolate in the world was only the beginning and realized the importance of further distinguishing ourselves with inspired, original packaging and unrivaled gift customization.
Furthermore, we adhere to a philosophy that the quality and responsiveness of our customer service must be on par with that of our products. It is for this reason that we have never subcontracted our logistics or our customer service - both are executed by zChocolat employees in the South of France.
Today, our logistics are entirely conducted in Forcalquier, one hour from our headquarters in downtown Aix-en-Provence. We are gratified to seamlessly deliver our true, 100% “made in France” products to over 240 countries worldwide.

Our chocolates are created in France by Pascal Caffet, World Champion Chocolatier & Meilleur Ouvrier de France. All of our packaging (zBoxes, basswood boxes and mahogany boxes) are painstakingly constructed in France – and our customer service, order fulfillment and operations are also performed in France. Each box of chocolates is proudly stamped with a 'Product of France' label – endowing each gift with an aura of distinction.
Simply stated, your complete satisfaction is our mission; from the time you visit our website to the moment one savors our chocolates. zChocolat has been awarded the "Customer Service Award" from the Better Business Bureau which requires an A+ rating with a complaint free record and conformance with rigorous accreditation standards and impeccable business practices. From the very outset, a prime goal of ours was to make our products and services available to the entire world.
